Man accused of torching wife's jeep granted bail

A MAN accused of torching his wife’s jeep, and causing $4,000 worth of damage, was granted $5,000 bail after being charged in Magistrate’s Court yesterday afternoon.

Jermaine Bullard, 33, of Hawkins Hill appeared before Magistrate Saboula Swain of Court 11 to face the charge, which he denied.

It is claimed that on Friday, January 4, Bullard intentionally set fire to a 1997 Grand Cherokee Jeep, licence # 264573, belonging to his wife, Mrs Julian Hamilton-Bullard.

Bullard pleaded not guilty and was granted $5,000 bail.

The matter was adjourned to April 18 for trial.x
