OFFICERS from the Traffic Department are investigating the country’s latest traffic fatality, which occurred on Monday, January 28.

The victims have been identified as Lindor Dervilus, 19, and Chanceley Damon Rolle, 18, both of Bamboo Boulevard.

According to reports, at around 9pm the 48-year old driver of a grey Toyota Altezza was travelling south along East Street in the area of Bougainvillea Boulevard when an accident occurred involving the two victims, who were riding on a motorcycle heading south on East Street South.

The passenger of the motorcycle, Lindor Dervilus, succumbed to his injuries on the scene, while the driver Chanceley Rolle was transported to hospital but later died.

Police say investigations are ongoing.
