Chamber meets with Minister

Dr Michael Darville, the minister for Grand Bahama (MOGB), has met with the Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce’s (GGCC) president, Barry Malcolm, to foster a closer working relationship between the two.

“We came away with a sense that we are on the same page and efforts will be made to continue to develop that partnership,” said Mr Malcolm.

“Simply put, we had a very productive meeting with the Minister and exchanged a wide variety of ideas with him, which we feel could help facilitate economic development in Grand Bahama.”

Also on hand was Randy Thompson, chairman of the GBCC’s economic development committee (far left), and Melvin Seymour, acting permanent secretary for the Ministry for Grand Bahama (far right).

The Chamber’s next event will be a lunch with Owen Arthur, former Prime Minister of Barbados, who will speak at the next Business Luncheon meeting scheduled for Monday, July 15, at 12:30 p.m. at the Pelican Bay Hotel.
