James Moultrie

REVEREND Father James Moultrie is a native of Eleuthera, the son of James B Moultrie, Sr and Mary E Moultrie (nee Dupuch) and is another father to be honoured by Mount Tabor Full Gospel Church who is being featured by The Tribune.

Dr Moultrie is married to Bernadette and they have three children and six grandchildren.

He is Chairman of the National Insurance Board and Associate Priest, St Agnes Anglican Church.

Among other positions he has held are Rector, the Anglican Church of St Matthew; Deputy Chairman, BEC Board of Directors; Asst Priest: St Agnes, All Saints, St Margaret, and St Barnabas; Rector, the Anglican Church of the Holy Spirit; Member, Public Service Commission; Professor, School of Education, The College of The Bahamas; Chaplain, St Anne’s Anglican School; Deputy Director, Anglican Schools and Chaplain, St Anne’s Anglican School.

He has a huge amount of international experience including Ambassador, Bahamas Mission to the United Nations, NY, Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and delegate, General Assembly, United Nations, NY.

Among his research papers are “The Bahamas: One Nation, Two Worlds. Social Stratification and the Impact on the Family and The Marginalization of the Bahamian Male” (PhD Dissertation); “The Sociology of Failure In Bahamian Schools” and “Education and National Development in The Bahamas”.
