Sir Clement and Julian Maynard honoured

POLITICIANS and family members honoured the economic and social legacy of Sir Clement and Julian Maynard at the opening of a new Arawak Homes subdivision earlier this week.

Prime Minister Perry Christie, along with Minister of Housing Kenred Dorsett, officially opened Sir Clement and Julian Maynard Estates on Monday in hopes that the historic naming will spark further investigation into the country’s past.

The multi-million dollar development features 49 lots in the Tall Pines constituency, according to Arawak Homes president Franon Wilson, who said sub-division was strategically positioned to accommodate potential home-owners looking to move closer to the Baha Mar resort.
