The Bahamas Lawn Tennis Association, in conjunction with teaching pro Wesley Rolle and Friends of Tennis in Harbour Island, organised a series of tennis events over the weekend.
On Friday, five excited coaches were introduced to the ITF Play & Stay method of teaching beginners. The course instructor was Bradley Bain (ITF Level 2) who demonstrated how the new method makes tennis fun to play and easy to learn.
On Saturday morning, the Harbour Island community was treated to a tennis exhibition featuring Bahamas Davis Cup player Marvin Rolle and collegiate player Dirnage Saunders.
After watching some exciting tennis, the kids were treated to a clinic using the stage three red balls but it was cut short due to the rain. However, all the kids were treated to tennis gifts courtesy of the BLTA.
