JUST about every week different parties and events are hosted on the island, but very few offer fun for the ‘mature’ partygoer.
One promotion company seeks to fill that void by presenting more events that will cater to the more mature crowd.

Black Carpet Senior, in association with Bacardi, will present Return To the Classics, a ‘throwback’ theme party.

The Return of the Classics event will be held at the Beach Club, Sandyport on July 27. Doors open at 7pm.

The event will be hosted by Hope Shelly-Ann and Tony Williams and also serves as the official launch of Bacardi Pineapple Fusion.

DJ Reality, the show’s organiser said they were inspired to host Return of the Classics because there were numerous people who approached them about putting on an event as such.

“We felt the need to host this event because we have been hearing a lot of people talking about how there are really no events like this happening often. So there is a void in terms of events that are promoted to the older crowd. We figured we would do this as a way to fill that void and give people what they have been asking for,” he said.

He said the party will take people far back in time and relieve the experiences of that time.

“Return to The Classics is a 70s and 80s throwback party for those who enjoy and appreciate the music of that era. If you are of the era and you want to relieve those times this is the perfect opportunity for people to do so. It will be a worthwhile experience,” he said.

The Beach Club will be transformed for the occasion. Only music from the 70s and 80s era will be played during the event. Attendees will also have the opportunity to dance on the soul train line.

For those who wish to go all out for the event, DJ Reality said people can pull out there psychedelic clothing, bell bottoms pants, Micheal Jackson blazers, platforms shoes, afro and jerry curl wigs.

He added: “We would love to make this a series and we have some upcoming plans that we cannot reveal right now. We want people to come out and support the event,” he told Tribune Entertainment.

There will also be activities and numerous giveaways.
