Cable Bahamas in provision automate

Cable Bahamas has deployed Sigma Systems’ provisioning solutions in its residential voice services throughout Nassau, Grand Bahama, Abaco and Eleuthera.

Sigma Provisioning solutions enable Cable Bahamas to automate the provisioning of its SIP-based residential Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services.

The platform allows the operator to easily configure and activate the telephony switching platform, voicemail system and numerous device types that subscribers use for their VoIP service.

“Sigma has been critical to the rapid and successful launch of our residential VoIP services,” said Blaine Schafer, Cable Bahamas’ vice-president of information technology and telecom services at Cable Bahamas.

“With Sigma, we have been able to easily introduce new service tiers, expand our regional roll outs, and ensure error-free, automated provisioning for subscribers.

“The ability to quickly automate our VoIP service fulfillment will help us to maintain our margins for these services, while reducing any service interruptions for our customers.”

Sigma enables a distributed architecture with centralised management, operation and storage of all configuration, operational and subscriber and device information.

It integrates with an operator’s existing systems, via a single API for provisioning, monitoring and querying.

“Cable Bahamas is indeed one of the most technologically advanced broadband providers today,” said Alejandro Couce, Caribbean and Latin America head of region at Sigma Systems.

“The company has responded quickly to their consumers’ demands for new, innovative and affordable services. Sigma’s catalog-driven OSS solutions allow them to accelerate and automate the fulfillment of new services, and to expand and add services over time, while maintaining low operational costs.”
