Bahamian ambassador fine after Cuba plane scare

MINISTER of Foreign Affairs Fred Mitchell revealed last night that the Bahamas’ Ambassador to Cuba was involved in an “aircraft incident” but emerged unhurt.

Mr Mitchell said Alma Adams was a passenger on a Cubana flight that experienced problems while trying to land in Havana yesterday afternoon.

“The aircraft suffered a blown tire upon landing and veered off the runway before coming to complete stop. All passengers are reported safe and there were no injuries,” he said.
