A BABY girl's remains have been found in the city dump.
A worker at the Harold Road landfill site contacted police at around 11am today and reported that he had found what appeared to be the remains of a small child.
He had been pushing off a pile of rubbish when he spotted a white plastic bag, which he thought looked suspicious.
When the bag was opened up it was found to contain what appeared to be the body of an infant child in an advance state of decomposition.
It is thought the child was just a few days old.
Police are investigating.
