‘SENSUALITY’ is the focal point of the Sinners N Saints Masquerade Lounge event, which is presented by Vixen Corsets & Apparel.

It plays on a theme of naughty and nice, with attendees choosing their side at Montagu Gardens Courtyard on Saturday. The cocktail show begins at 7.30pm with a performances by talented poets led by Deangelo “The Lyricist” Whyms.

Antonio Abraham, organiser, said: “I believe that being sexy is best achieved when there is a balance between naughty and nice.  However, most of us tend to lean more to one side or the other. Hence the catch phrase “Which side are you on?” I went with a masquerade theme because it speaks to the mystery with which sensuality should be approached. The dress code: sinners in black, saints in white, was really to satisfy my curiosity in wanting to know how persons view their sensual selves.”

Mr Abraham said the event focuses on sensuality rather than sexuality.

The activities will also teach people that sensuality does not have to be ‘distasteful,’ he said.

 “I wanted to capitalise on the idea of being either naughty or nice, but I feel as though the actual theme ‘naughty and nice’ has been overused and is somewhat played out. I wanted to come up with something that portrayed that theme without using those exact words. I understand that the theme is quite bold, but this does not deter me simply because I want the public to get accustomed to Vixen making bold statements because of the trails I intend to blaze within the near future.” During the event, there will be a fashion show which will feature lingerie pieced from Vixen Corsets & Intimate Apparel.

Other activities include a silent auction, play stations, entertainment, prizes and giveaways.

“The stimulating play stations are five stations that each individually focus on a particular sense.  At each station, aside from sight, couples will be blindfolded and use the sense of the station they are at to play games in order to win beads,” Mr Abraham said.  

He said Sinner N Saints will give attendees a different experience, because there will be a variety of activities to join in, including a ‘sexy lips’ competition.

“This is a competition that has become very popular with our fans. We also introduced it at the Bridal Show last year and it was very successful. Guests will get a chance to “Sexify” their lips in whichever way they choose and we will take a picture. Some of the most popular ways are using sexy lipstick or gloss, biting a strawberry or other types of food or simply licking their lips.  All entries will be posted online for Vixen fans to vote for their favourite lips,” he said.
