IT’S Friday - which means it’s flag day.
In the run-up to the 40th Anniversary of Independence on July 10, Bahamians have been asked to hoist flags and wear the country’s colours on Fridays.
Jack Thompson, chairman of the 40th Anniversary Independence Secretariat, said: “The National Independence Commission invites the entire Bahamas to join in the celebration and show our national pride by wearing the national colours every Friday during the countdown all the way through to Friday, July 5.
He added: “It is our 40th anniversary and we say to you hoist your flags, wear your colours, decorate the place and come out and let us celebrate.”
