EDITOR, The Tribune.

I am writing to commend the Leader of the official opposition, Hon Dr Hubert A Minnis, for his most impressive contribution to the recent budget debate in the House. You did an excellent job, sir!

The content was brilliant, your presentation was impressive and you were extremely effective in getting your points across.

I must say here and now, that Dr Minnis is proving to be a very focused and disciplined leader, one who has grown politically by leaps and bounds in just a few short years and with what appears to be a new and clear vision for the country.

In addition he is a level-headed thinker, one who thinks before he acts and does not fail to listen to the advice of others. A member on the opposite side even commended him publicly the other day, and stated how impressed he was at Dr Minnis’ level of tolerance and control, even in the most adverse situations. That is the sign of a true leader.

As a supporter and as a Bahamian, I am very proud of him and I have no doubt that he has what it takes to be the Prime Minister of the Bahamas in 2017.

For those who may have missed Dr Minnis’ contribution, I encourage you to get a copy from his office or online. Congratulations Dr Minnis! Well said, well done.
