Three in hospital after shootings

POLICE are investigating two separate shootings and a stabbing that left three men in hospital.

The first shooting took place around 6.40am on Wednesday.

Police a 22-year-old man was walking on a track road between Rupert Dean Lane and Fleming Street when he heard gunshots and realised that he was shot in the arm.

He was taken to hospital by ambulance where he was treated and discharged.

The second incident reportedly occurred around 1am on Thursday in the area of Nassau and Meadow Streets and resulted in a 27-year-old man being shot in the upper body.

The victim reportedly drove himself to hospital, where he is detained in serious but stable condition.

The stabbing incident occurred around 11.30pm on Wednesday at Christie Park, Nassau Street.

Police say a 32-year-old man was stabbed in the lower back by a man who he knows.

The Baillou Hill Heights man is in serious condition in hospital.

Police are asking anyone with information concerning these incidents to call 911, 919 or 502-9991.

• GERARD Nairn of Boatswain Road, who police were seeking to bring in for questioning, is now in police custody.

Nairn reportedly turned himself in early Wednesday morning.

On Tuesday, police issued a wanted bulletin for the suspect in connection with a stealing case.

Investigations continue.
