Two injured in separate shootings over weekend

POLICE are seeking the public’s assistance in locating two men responsible for two separate shootings over the weekend.

The first incident happened around 10.15pm on Friday.

According to reports, the victim was at a bar on Sutton Street off Kemp Road when he got into an altercation with another man.

He was shot in the head, jaw and right side by a third man.

The victim was taken to hospital, where he is listed in serious but stable condition.

In the second incident, police say a 20-year-old man was leaving a party on Prince Charles Drive around midnight on Saturday when he heard gunshots and realised he had been shot in leg.

He was taken to hospital where he was listed in stable condition.

Police are also asking for the public’s help in locating two men responsible for an armed robbery early Saturday morning.

The incident reportedly occurred shortly after 3am at a home on Carmichael Road.

The female victim was just arriving home when she was approached by two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun.

The culprits robbed the victim of an undetermined amount of money and a cell phone and fled the area heading in an unknown direction.
