Fourth traffic fatality as man dies of his injuries

FREEPORT - Grand Bahama recorded its fourth traffic fatality on Saturday when a 39-year-old man died in hospital of injuries he sustained a week ago in a car accident.

According to police reports, the victim, a resident of Sea Grape, Eight Mile Rock, succumbed to his injuries around 6pm on Saturday at the Rand Memorial Hospital.

Inspector Terrecita Pinder, press liaison officer, said that police received a report of a traffic accident which occurred around 10.30pm on February 28 at Warren Levarity Highway, near Bahama Rock.

Investigations revealed that the male driver lost control of his maroon 2001 Chevrolet Lumina and collided with a utility pole.
Police have not released the identity of the victim.
