A MAN was shot dead in the street last night by a pair of gunmen.
The shooting was the third in a single day - with three people having been injured in the two previous shootings.
Last night’s shooting took place at 9:20pm at Honeycomb Street, off East Street, not far from the 10am shooting on Taylor Street.
Police said that preliminary reports indicated that the victim was riding his bicycle along Honeycomb Street when he was approached and subsequently shot by two men who emerged from a nearby track road.
Emergency services responded, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
