A SECOND suspect was arraigned in the magistrates’ court yesterday in connection with the country’s 10th murder of the year.

Omar Fox, a 29-year-old of Hutchenson Street, appeared before Deputy Chief Magistrate Carolita Bethell facing a charge of murder, along with 27-year-old Donovan Brown of Key West Street who had already been charged last month.

It is claimed that Fox, together with Brown, intentionally caused the shooting death of Rodney Sila on January 30, the country’s 10th homicide for 2013.

Fox, like Brown, was not required to enter a plea to the charge due to the nature of the offence.

He was not eligible for bail in the magistrates’ court but could apply to the Supreme Court.

Both Fox and Brown are scheduled to return to court on or before July 2 to be served with a voluntary bill of indictment that will fast track their case to the Supreme Court.
