Two shot in gun incidents

TWO people were shot between Monday night and Tuesday morning, according to police reports.

In the first incident, a teenager was shot off East and Fowler Streets at about 9.30pm on Monday.

Police said the boy heard gunshots and realised he had been shot in the thigh.

He was taken to the hospital where his condition was unknown up to last night.

In a separate attack, two men were robbed of cash, an iPhone and an iPad at about 9pm on Monday on Jerome Avenue.

When one of the men attempted to disarm the robber he was shot and taken by Emergency Medical Services to hospital, police said.His condition is unknown.

A business establishment was robbed at gun point yesterday morning at about 3am, police said.

An armed man wearing blue jeans and a white t-shirt robbed the business of an undetermined amount of cash and “a quantity of tokens” and fled, running east along Soldier Road.

Police also reported the arrest of a 43-year-old man of Sunlight Cottage after he was found in possession of a quantity of ammunition.

Officers of the Central Division arrested the man around 3.30pm Monday in the area of Marathon and Robinson Roads.
