Anglican Cursillo Servant community plans gathering

“Will you let me be your servant?

Let me be as Christ to you!

Pray that I may have the grace

To let you be my servant too!”

The Anglican community is inviting faithful followers to join its Cursillo Servant Community.

A Cursillo Servant Community is a group of Christian leaders formed into an effective team to carry out the Cursillo Method of prayer, study and apostolic action. Group members study together, work together, pray together and support each other in their work in the various environments. Monthly meetings are recommended for support, encouragement, feedback on apostolic action and evaluation.

The servant community is organised into committees, headed by a member of the secretariat. Suggested committees are weekend preparation, three day weekend, fourth day, communications and publications and any other committee as determined by the need of the movement.

The next servant community meeting is being held on Saturday, May 11 at Holy Spirit Anglican Church, Chipingham.

Leaders of the community encouraged members to “ be Christ to each other and accept the grace, freely provided, and allow others to be Christ to us.”

“Are you a ‘Servant Leader of Light’, a ‘Servant Leader of Salt’ as a result of your participation in a Cursillo Servant Community? Have you been ‘salt’ or ’light ‘and changed, shaped or transformed for the better, the culture of your home, your work place, your church, your community or have they changed you? I am confident you want to be the transforming agent,” said leaders of the movement.

“Commitment to the idea of being a servant leader of walking the talk should motivate each of us, exposed to the concepts of the Cursillo Servant Community, to be the “salt of the earth” in a world that so desperately needs preservation.”
