THE Bahamas Humane Society tribute to a couple who were killed in a road accident in Exuma will be held tomorrow at Compass Point.

The tribute to Jill and Ron Gandza is at 5.30pm at the West Bay Street venue.

Mr and Mrs Gandza were killed in a road accident on April 25 in Georgetown, Exuma.

They left behind many friends in the Bahamas and especially the beloved Potcakes that they dedicated so much time, effort and funds to save.

Jill had recently retired from nursing to be able to dedicate more time to helping the animals of the Bahamas. Ron was due to retire in a couple of years and they planned to spend more time in the Bahamas helping.

The Bahamas Humane Society has started a fund for the construction of “GANDZA HOUSE” to house newly arrived puppies at the shelter while they are being vetted and checked out to be healthy enough to be put with the other puppies already at the shelter, or if they have to go into clinic. The Humane Society said it had lost two very good friends the world ‘is a poorer place with their loss.’ Everybody is welcome to attend, but numbers would be appreciated. Call Linda on 323 5138.

Donations can be made to the BHS, please specify that it is to benefit “GANDZA HOUSE”.
