POLICE are on the hunt for two men in connection with the country’s latest homicides.

Dwight Smith, 21, and 42-year-old Dajougon Glinton were killed within hours of each other on Wednesday night.

The first incident took place around 6pm.

Police say Smith was in the area of Haitian village, just west of Dignity Gardens when he was approached by a man who shot him in the stomach. He was taken to hospital by ambulance where he later died of his injuries.

The second incident occurred around 9:45pm on Cordeaux Avenue.

According to reports, Glinton was standing in the road in front of his home when he was approached by the occupants of a silver coloured vehicle.

One man got out of the vehicle and fired a gun, the shots hitting the victim in his upper body. Glinton attempted to run but collapsed at the scene.

He was pronounced dead by EMS personnel a short time later.

Sources say he was wearing an ankle monitor. Investigations continue.

The murder count now stands at 46 for the year.
