Angela Pratt-Rolle to be installed as pastor

MEMBERS of the Lively Stone Church of God will install Rev Angela R Pratt-Rolle as their pastor during a service of installation on Sunday.

Beginning at 3pm, the service will take place at the church located Knowles Drive off Tonique Williams Highway.
According to members of the church, Rev Pratt-Rolle is a veteran educator who has served as a teacher and administrator in the public school system for many years. Her last post was as principal of T A Thompson Junior High School.

After her years of service in education, she became a Family Island administrator with the Department of Local Government and has served in Cat Island and the district of West Grand Bahama.
Rev Pratt-Rolle has held numerous positions over the years within the Church of God organisation, including general youth secretary and district lady for the district of Cat Island.

Rev Pratt-Rolle will become the third female in the Highway Church of God Bahamas’ fellowship to pastor a church. She will also become the second pastor of Lively Stone Church of God. The church was lead by its founding pastor the late Bishop Godfrey K Hepburn for 14 years.

Members say she is known as a disciplined individual with a keen sense of administrative awareness.

“Her biblical study and experience has been under the tutelage of many stalwarts of the gospel in the Bahamas, transcending denominational lines. At the age of 14 Angela Pratt-Rolle accepted the lord as her personal saviour during a revival in Cat Island conducted by the then principal of the New Bight School, Bishop Teuton Stubbs, pastor-emeritus of the Southland Church Of God,” said Lively Stone Church of God members.
Rev Angela Pratt-Rolle holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from the University of Miami and Nova Southeastern University respectively. She is married to Edward Rolle. They have four adult children, a daughter in law and a grandson.

The board of trustees and the membership of the Lively Stone Church of God are excited about the new era in the church’s development.

It is proud of the spiritual and infrastructural foundation set by its founding pastor Bishop Godfrey K Hepburn and now looks to the future under the pastorate of Rev Angela R Pratt-Rolle, who has the prayers and support of the church in her new posting.
