Royal Bank re-opens two major branches

Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) has announced the re-opening of two key branches in western New Providence. The RBC Airport and RBC Lyford Cay branches have both been rebuilt in new locations.

As part of the Bahamas Airport Gateway project, the RBC Airport branch is now located at the Lynden Pindling International Airport’s new domestic terminal. The 3,037 square foot branch opened its doors on October 27, 2013.

Situated at the junction of Charlotteville Estate and Turnberry in the Old Fort Bay Plaza, the 6,000 square foot RBC Lyford Cay branch received a $3 million investment.

It has an expanded customer lounge, modernised furniture and fixture,s and an open floor plan. The branch opened its doors on September 30, 2013.

“The expansion of our branch network fulfills our commitment and dedication to serving our clients throughout the Bahamas. RBC has invested significantly in these new branches and looks forward to providing added convenience to our customers, and service to our growing personal and business client base.”

RBC has a total of 26 branches in the Bahamas, 15 of which are in New Providence. During RBC’s 105-year presence in Tthe Bahamas, the bank has grown from the original staff of three to an organisation that today employs more than 800 professionals.
