Grand Bahama pays tribute with service

A LARGE number of Grand Bahamians attended the 15th annual Remembrance Day Service held at Mary Star of the Sea Church in Grand Bahama on Sunday afternoon.

Various schools, civic organisations, churches, youth organisations and marching bands from throughout Grand Bahama participated in the annual march to the church.

The first Remembrance Day Parade and Service was held on Grand Bahama on November 12, 1999.

Minister for Grand Bahama Dr Michael Darville, Tourism Minister Obie Wilchcombe, PLP Senators Julian Russell and Tanisha Tynes and FNM MP Peter Turnquest were among those in attendance.
