Tatiana Blanche Donaldson, 17, daughter of Yolande Parchment Donaldson and the late Ambassador Timothy Baswell Donaldson, was graduated with distinction from Choate Rosemary Hall Preparatory School in Wallingford Connecticut, on Sunday, June 2.

Tatiana was one of four Bahamian students who was graduated from Choate.

In addition to her diploma, she was the sole recipient of the coveted senior girls’ David T Layman Jr, Prize. Prior to this accomplishment, she won Early Decision Admission to the College of her first choice, the highly selective Barnard College (affiliated with Columbia University) in New York City.

Well rounded and talented, Tatiana also played the violin in the school’s orchestra and excelled in sports, including track and field, soccer and ice hockey.

The accomplished young graduate credits her success at Choate to the strong foundation of early education at Unicorn Village and later at St Andrews International School of The Bahamas, the latter of which she attended until the 9th grade having entered Choate in the 10th.

Thirty-five friends and relatives of the Donaldson family from the Bahamas and the United States attended the graduation weekend at Choate to honour the achievements of Tatiana which would have made her late father proud.
