Two in hospital after shootings

TWO men are in serious condition in hospital after they were shot in two separate incidents on Sunday.

The first incident happened around 4:30 pm.

Police say they received reports of a shooting in the area of Michelle’s restaurant and Bar on Rosetta Street.

When they arrived they found a man, lying on the ground with multiple gun shot wounds in his chest and upper body,

He told police he was leaving the bar around 4pm when he was approached by a man in a red Ford Explorer, who fired several shots at him before speeding off.

He was taken to hospital by ambulance where he is listed in serious condition.

The victim is also said to be “very well known” to police.

The second incident happened around 8pm.

Police say a man turned up at the Princess Margaret Hospital with gunshot wounds in his shoulder and hip.

He told police that he was walking on Bernard Road around 7pm when he heard gunshots and realized he had been shot.

He was shot in his left arm and buttocks.
