FNM LEADER Dr Hubert Minnis has urged law enforcement officials to “think outside of the box” in the fight against criminals as discussions continue on the Christie administration’s strategy to combat illegal activity.

Pinpointing the recent attack on The Punch Publications with a hand grenade and reports that only one in 20 murder suspects is convicted, Dr Minnis said that officials must change how they approach crime.

“We must think outside of the box.” Dr Minnis said.

“The methods that were used yesterday cannot continue to be used today.

“A grenade today, or mass killing – what will wee see tomorrow?

“(The attack on The Punch) is a direct assault on basic human rights.”
