Police search for armed robbers

FREEPORT – Grand Bahama Police are searching for four men in connection with two separate armed robbery incidents that occurred in Freeport and Hunters.

The first incident occurred shortly after 10pm on Wednesday at a business establishment in the Bonded area.

According to police reports, three men approached a security officer at the business and robbed him of his ring and cellular phone valued at $245.

The suspects, who were armed with a shotgun, then broke into the business and stole a grey safe containing $700 in cash and two cheques in the amount of $1,000 each.

The second incident happened shortly after 10.30pm at a business establishment in Hunters.

Police reported that the owner was held up by a gunman and robbed of his wallet containing $50, his cell phone valued at $260 and $25 in cash from the cash register.

The suspect was described as being 5’ 7” tall and of slim built. The gunman was wearing a grey warm-up hoodie suit.

Police are also investigating a stealing incident that occurred at Scotiabank.

It was reported that sometime between 11am on November 12 and 11am on November 20 a person or persons gained unauthorised entry into the Scotiabank automated bank machine (ABM) and stole five cash canisters from the slot of the machine containing an undetermined amount of money
