Shockers rout Marines 117-91 Giants down Rockets 100-88

THE Real Deal Shockers routed the Defence Force Marines 117-91 and the Commonwealth Bank Giants knocked off the Pyramid Food Rockets 100-88 on Wednesday night as the New Providence Basketball Association continued its regular season at the AF Adderley Gym. Here’s a summary of the double header:

Shockers 117, Marines 91

The Real Deal, coached by James Price, had 10 players in uniform and they all scored in double figures, led by Salathiel Dean (six rebounds and four assists) and Floyd Armbrister (nine assists and three rebounds) with 16 points apiece.

Both Ishmael Curtis (six rebounds) and Ahmon Baker (nine rebounds) had 14 points, Corey Williams had 13 points, 10 rebounds and five assists and Devon Brennen (10 rebounds), Anthony Williams (eight rebounds), Vernon Stubbs (eight assists) and Alexander Rolle (eight rebounds), all had 11 points.

For the losers, coached by Dwayne McGregor, Blair Allen had a game high 29 points, Otis Ferguson scored 26 and Elway Pickstock chipped in with 15 points and six rebounds.

Giants 100, Rockets 88

Jeremy Hutchinson continues to post the big numbers for Commonwealth Bank, pumping in 19 points with 10 rebounds, Gamelial Rose had 16 points and 14 rebounds, Jackson Jacob had 13 points, Ricardo Pierre 12 points and both Michael Bain and Mark Hanna contributed 10 points.

In the loss, Barry Carter had 22 points and 11 rebounds, Tameko Moxey 15 points, Garvin Lightbourne 12 points, Prince Brennen 11 points and Kevin Hinsey 10 points and seven rebounds.
