Airport advertiser in Grand Bahama expansion

Bahamas Airport Advertising has expanded its reach to Grand Bahama International Airport, signing up a Freeport-based PR agency to act as its representative on the island.

Via its sister company, Airport Advertising Freeport (AAF), Bahamas Airport Advertising has signed a contract making it the exclusive advertising firm for both the international and domestic terminals at the Grand Bahama International Airport.

Using the platform provided by its current tie-up at the Lynden Pindling International Airport (LPIA), where it is also the exclusive advertising company and Wi-Fi provider, Bahamas Airport Advertising’s latest move is designed to exploit the increased airlift anticipated from Sunwing’s re-opening of the Reef Village this November.

AAF vice-president, Thomas John Bethel, said: “There is great potential and opportunity in the Grand Bahama marketplace. We are very pleased to be expanding our company to Freeport, where we feel there is substantial room for growth and economic success.”

Barefoot Marketing, which is located in Freeport, will serve as the Grand Bahama representative for Bahamas Airport Advertising.

“We are thrilled to be chosen as the GB rep for AAF” said Barefoot marketing director, Sarah Kirkby.

“Our work in the community, knowledge of, and close relationships with local businesses should help us to succeed in promoting these great advertising opportunities.”

AAF is scheduled to take over the Grand Bahama International Airport advertising programme in October this year, and is already developing strategies in both terminals, with pre-sales to commence this week.

“We are extremely excited to be able to offer the same advertising opportunities in Freeport that have proven to be extremely successful for our clients in Nassau,” said company president, John Charles Bethel.

“We are looking forward to our partnership with Barefoot Marketing in this initiative. We feel with Sarah’s team and our know-how it will be mutually beneficial both to us and the clients.”
