AFTER almost a month at the Carmichael Road Detention Centre, Immigration officials said a group of 13 Cubans were repatriated.
On Wednesday the group, who were found in an area known as North Rock, 22 miles off Bimini on September 5, left the Lynden Pindling International Airport at 11:30am.
The 13 Cubans, made up of 11 men and two women ,arrived in Havana, Cuba, at 12:45pm.
Officials in a press statement said this latest exercise represented an effort by the Bahamas government and Immigration to expedite the repatriation of Cubans to their homeland.
