Pharmacy Council appoints new registrar

THE Pharmacy Council announced yesterday it has appointed Dr Anne T Vanria Rolle as their new registrar with immediate effect.

Dr Rolle has worked in the Bahamas in the private and government sectors, completing her last tour of duty with the Public Hospitals Authority (PHA) as chief pharmacist in October 2010.

In 2010 she was appointed by the University of Belize to serve as chairperson of an external peer review team for their Associate Degree in Applied Science Pharmacy.

She also served as a council member of the Caribbean Association of Pharmacists from 2002 and as second vice president and chairperson of the continuing education committee until August 2008. In October 2009, she delivered the inaugural public lecture of the Caribbean Institute of Pharmacy Policy Practice and Research at the campus of the UTECH Kingston.

Dr Rolle obtained her B.Sc, degree in Pharmacy from the University of Florida, a MHA degree from The Western Connecticut State University, and a Pharm.D from the University of Florida.
