A PAIR of double doubles from Bahamian players last night in Euroleague action netted different results for Waltiea Rolle and Kino Burrows and their respective clubs.

Rolle and her DSK Karlin club remained winless after a heartbreaking 66-63 loss to Aldast Strakonice in the Czech Republic.

The 6’6” centre finished with her third double double of the season when she posted 15 points and 13 rebounds, both team highs.

Rolle shot 6-14 from the floor and also chipped in with three blocked shots.

DSK Karlin lost on the road in their sixth consecutive game and is slated to face SSMH Brno in their next contest on October 12, still seeking their first win of the year.

After trailing at the half, Rolle and her club won the third quarter, 21-19, but were unable to pull ahead in the fourth.

Strakonice pulled ahead late with an efficient 20-23 night at the free throw line and outscored their opponents 20-18 to seal the win.

With her performance, Rolle bumped her season average to a double double as well at 14.2 points and 10 rebounds per game. She is shooting 43.8 per cent from the field, 70 per cent from the free throw line and averages 1.4 blocks per game.

In the Finnish Korisliiga league, Burrows and Tapiolan Honka moved to 2-0 with a 76-60 win over Kataja. He finished with 15 points and 12 rebounds on 7-9 shooting from the field.

Following a two-day break, they are scheduled to take on Salon Vilpas on October 12 and Kouvot after an eight-day layoff on October 20.
