BORCO donates lunch benches for students

BAHAMAS Oil Refining Company Ltd (BORCO) donated ten lunch benches to the children of the Lewis Yard Primary School, located at the former St Vincent De Paul School site.

This donation came at a vital time for the students – the start of a new school year.

The benches will allow the children to sit comfortably while having lunch and facilitate other school activities.

The students, faculty and administration of the school welcomed BORCO executives during the presentation.

In a show of appreciation, the students sang for the visiting BORCO contingent and presented them with a certificate of gratitude.

Robert Gaffney, BORCO vice-president of international operations, gave a speech at the school and encouraged the students to strive for excellence and remain focused throughout the school year and into the future.
