THE Golden Gates Scholarship Fund Committee held an ‘All White Cocktail Extravaganza’ to raise money for tertiary education for deserving individuals in the Golden Gates constituency.
Held on Saturday at the pavilion in Bacardi Road, the event was a 1970s themed party with music, food and drinks.
Shane Gibson, the area’s MP and Minister of National Insurance, was there along with some of his Cabinet colleagues.
Financial donations to the event ranged from $20,000, which included 20 VIP tickets, and a full co-sponsorship mention in all radio, newspaper, online and printed promotions, to corporate packages of $750 which included 10 general admission tickets.
