THE Banker’s Bowling League is all set to officially open its 2013 season tonight at Mario’s Bowling & Entertainment Palace.

“This season, the league is larger than the previous year with the inclusion of three additional teams - Colina Insurance Company, Family Guardian Insurance Company and JP Morgan Trust Co.

One team, Winterbotham Trust, withdrew its membership from the league,” according to a press release.

“There have been numerous changes in many of the teams’ line-ups as players have either left the institution or new teams have entered and loyalty to these institutions have prevailed.

“Thursday night is expected to be an exciting start with great matchups such as - last year’s defending champions JS Johnson Insurance Company taking on second place finishers, Central Bank of The Bahamas.

In another highly anticipated matchup, 2011 champion Commonwealth Bank is slated to face First Caribbean Bank (CIBC).

New team Family Guardian, with last year’s high point bowler David Slatter, is set to take on JP Morgan.
