TEENAGE GIRL DIES IN CAR ACCIDENT

FREEPORT – A teen was killed in a car accident early yesterday morning when she lost control of the vehicle she was driving and crashed into bushes on Coral Road.

Natalie Elsie, 19, of Cromwell Drive, Grand Bahama, became the island’s 10th traffic fatality victim. She was trapped in the wreckage and died at the scene.

According to police reports, the accident occurred sometime around 2.30am near the Independence Park.

Inspector Terecita Pinder said the female driver had been pinned inside a blue Saturn vehicle, which landed on its side in the bushes.

Police, firemen, and EMS personnel responded. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Morticians at Russell and Pinder Funeral Home transported the body to the Rand Memorial Hospital morgue.

Family members were devastated. Police are continuing their investigations.
