WITH the words “I christen you CS Satira”, State Minister for Transportation Hope Strachan officially named the latest vessel to be managed by locally headquartered Campbell Shipping Company.
The October 21 ceremony was held at the shipyard of Tsuji Heavy Industries in Jaingsu, China.
CS Satira is the protoype of the Sea Transporter series designed by GTRC Campbell Marine Consultants.
The company said the shallow draft vessel is a fuel efficient, log fitted 37,500 DWT bulk carrier embodying the latest energy efficiency trends, loading flexibility features, and is compliant with all operational and regulation requirements.
The Campbell delegation to China was led by managing director Chandler Sands, and included Minister Strachan, Brandon Bethel, Nicole Williams, Dr Brenda Cleare, Rosetta Anderson-Rolle, Gregory Smith and photographer Julian Anderson-Rolle.
