TWO MEN were shot in Andros early yesterday morning under mysterious circumstances, The Tribune understands.

According to reports, the men appeared at a local clinic asking to be treated for gunshot wounds around 8.30am, but refused to say how they sustained the injuries.

Later, they also refused to explain the matter to island officials.

The men were airlifted to the capital for treatment and according to police sources, officers from the Central Detective Unit had to “pry” information out of them.

Even so, they would only tell the officers they were at a business establishment when they were approached by three men who opened fire on them.

One of the men was shot in the arm and the other in the leg.

They are now said to be listed in stable condition at the Princess Margaret Hospital.

Sources say the shooting may have been related to a million dollar drug bust on the island two weeks ago.

Investigations are continuing.
