AN elderly man is in hospital in critical condition after he was stabbed repeatedly by his own son with a samurai sword.

Police say the attack happened this afternoon after the two apparently got into a row over a cell phone near Rupert Dean Lane and Cambridge Street.

The father, who is believed to be in his early eighties, was rushed to hospital and police say that the son may have been ‘mentally challenged’.

The victim’s daughter was visibly distraught telling reporters at the scene that ‘it was  hard’ and “Daddy didn’t deserve this.”

Police investigations continue.

Y'ALL CAUSE DIS Back in the mid 1980's and 1990's the police had a culture where they would arm themselves with bats, batons, pipes, brass knuckles or any item that could inflict pain, load themselves into caravans of vehicles and drive through the streets of New Providence, their intended target being any young man seen walking the streets of the capital. One such vehicle was known as 'the bus of pain' and the fear of any young man was coming in contact with this bus loaded with police officers who were anxious to pounce on them like a gang of thieves and beat them into a pulp, if not beyond submission. The only reason for getting a beating is that you could not give an acceptable account for being where you were at the time and if you dared to flex a muscle or talk back to any of these officers the beating was more severe. Many young men suffered permanent injuries, broken bones and internal bleeding among them. Some found themselves being charged with a number crimes, many false, and had to spend many years and all the family's resources trying to defend their innocence. Some just gave in and went to jail only to serve time and come out to find the same cycle repeating itself. Others were "searched' and touched in such an indecent way, they felt more violated that a school girl who had been raped. (there is a song about it). They were emasculated by the police. Many young men who had to walk to and from work quit their jobs to avoid coming in contact with this, 'bus of pain". And they stayed home full of remorse, and played video games. Many of these games taught them how to shoot and to kill civilians and police alike, and to not feel any emotion ,any remorse, and no wrong. They were in their own world and they set the rules. In the main time the rogue policemen would meet at their favorite drinking spots or their assigned stations and brag and tell stories like, 'When I crack tha' one cross he head all a hear him holla mummy and he was out like a light".. Many of these police are no longer on the force and, like the rest of us, they hunker down at night wondering what is going on and who get killed.. This is the monster they help create... Welcome to he Bahamas September 2013..EIGHTY ONE MURDERS AND COUNTING! murders...y'all cause this!

Although the music is awful ,it is a an offshoot of the real problem .You can not make babies like topsy and have a low crime rate .When single mothers make up 75% of the people having babies for dead beat dads crime will soar ..look at the U/S there is a direct correlation between the groups w/ the highest illegitimacy and crime ..I don,t mean everyone has to get married ,but the fathers have to step up ..
