International sensations Konshens and Elephant Man, representing new and old school dancehall, are set to take the stage in Nassau and Freeport on September 27 and 28.

The Club Luna/Club Amnesia double play is presented by Hennessy Artistry Bahamas in association with Fresh Entertainment and Playhouse Entertainment.

Konshens is know for a number of hit songs, including: I’m Coming, Gal A Bubble, Stop Sign and Do Sumn. Dancehall veteran Elephant Man has a deep chest of hits, including: Willie Bouce, Pon Di River and Nuh Linga. Promoters told In Ya Ear that both artists are confirmed and they are ready to perform in the Bahamas.

“We figured why not go all out. After this year’s BET Awards when Elephant Man performed during the Reggae session, we put the two elements together: Konshens with the Dancehall and Elephant Man with the energy,” said 100 JAMZ radio personality Joe Koolz of Playhouse Entertainment .

Big L of Playhouse Entertainment, a More 94 radio personality said: “Hennessy Artistry is actually an annual event where they try to showcase an artist that they feel has been really strong for the past twelve months. So with Konshens having such a strong year and Elephant Man re-emerging as still being a force to reckon with on the dancehall scene, we blended the two together and Hennessy loved the product. We are just going to make it a great experience.”

Former Hennessy Artistry concerts featured the King of the Dancehall Beenie Man and the trio, Tanya Stephens, Jah Cure and Capleton in an “Increase the Peace” event.

“Last year when we did the Konshens show, we did it the other way around, so this year we didn’t want to give people the exact same line-up as we did before. We also wanted to give the opportunity to people in Freeport to come out on a Saturday to enjoy the show. Nassau has more people and they tend to go out no matter which night it is,” said Big L.

Big L encouraged all expected attendees to purchase their tickets in advance.

“This isn’t going to be one of those shows where the artist you want to see comes on stage at 4 am, so we also encourage people to come out on time,” said Big L.

Playhouse Entertainment is also in the process of putting together an RnB related show later this year, according to Big L. “It is going to be featuring a female artist that we feel as though a lot of women will enjoy singing along with so people can keep a look out for that.”
