A UNITED States Defense Department official says several people have been killed and as many as 10 have been wounded in a shooting at the Washington Navy Yard.
The official spoke on condition of anonymity Monday because the official was not authorized to discuss the matter publicly.
The official also says the shooter is "contained" but not yet in custody.
Earlier in the day, the U.S. Navy said it was searching for an active shooter at the Naval Sea Systems Command headquarters, where about 3,000 people work.
The exact number of people killed and the conditions of those wounded were not immediately known.

WHAT???? Jumping to conclusion aren't we? Could just as easily have been a disgruntled worker or someone who was smoking dope or someone who did not like how his boss talked to him, or someone who did not like his girlfiend's nail polish colour. Bottom line is, while you may be right in your assertion, your jumping to conclusion on this matter is typical of the kind of hate mongering that goes on which often leads to other issues such as vigilante-ism, etc.

You just can't help the name calling; can you? I guess that is a sure sign of your intellect. FYI ... I am a Christian and I do not appease anyone. I am a firm believer in justice and fairness and do not support judging persons or groups based on the "obvious probability." One should not jump to judgement even when the available evidence suggests that it might be that person or group. A simple rule of thumb is; if you would not lke it done to you, do not do it to others.

@ rory You did not say anything about judgement, you PASSED judgement on the Muslims ... that is worse than saying it.
There is no sense in having a discussion with you because you are always right and everyone else is either bending to an ideology or simply dumb ... only you have sense. FYI, this "religion of peace" Islamist, "Al Qaeda lone wolf" that you accused of/credited with the attack was a Bhuddist with mental illness (medically diagnosed) who claimed he suffered because of prejudice he experienced during his time in the Navy. You may make more sense if you base your opinions on the facts and not just on some spur of the moment bigoted/prejudiced stimuli. I would love to hear your song when you are the one wrongly accused or stereotyped ... I bet you would not like it then.
Following your logic, everytime there is a murder in this country, I guess the cops should go out and arrest all young black men between the ages of 18 and 35 since they are the usual suspects. Totally asinine!!!

You really need a vocabulary make over as you think cursing and name calling make you a man and smarter than everyone else ... all it does is show your ignorance. Learn to discuss issues without attacking the person, it will do you a world of good.
