Ya hear Gucci Mane arrested? The rapper, who went on a verbal rant after being dropped by Atlantic Records, was taken into custody after cussing out cops in Atlanta last Friday. He was searched by police who discovered a gun and marijuana.
According to Vibe.com: “Mr GuWop was taken in right after midnight. A friend flagged the cops complaining about his intense behaviour. Gucci, born Radric Davis, threatened the cops upon their arrival. He was booked for disorderly conduct, carrying a concealed weapon and marijuana possession, and taken to a nearby hospital as a precaution,” the website stated.
Earlier this week, Gucci went on a Twitter binge attacking fellow rappers Nicki Minaj and Tyga, as well as others in the music industry. It ended with him deleting his Twitter account.
Ya hear Nicki Minaj faces law suit? According to AllHipHop.com the underground EDM artist Clive Tanaka is suing the Young Money rapper over the song “Starships.”
“Starships” was a huge hit for Minaj. The song debuted at number nine on the Billboard 200 and peaked at number five. It has sold over 7 million copies worldwide and its video currently has over 145 million views on YouTube.
Tanaka filed the lawsuit under his company, Tanaka Light Industries USA, claiming that “Starships” took elements from his 2011 song “Neu Chicago.”
The lawsuit also names producer Red One (Nadir Khayat) and songwriters Carl Falk, Wayne Hector, and Rami Yacoub.
