Man fights for life after knife attack

A  MAN is fighting for his life in hospital after being stabbed Wednesday night.

It happened around 8:30pm on Palmetto Avenue.

According to reports, the victim was sitting in the front of his home when a man armed with a knife approached him and stabbed him several times in his body before fleeing the area on foot.

The victim was taken to hospital by ambulance where he is listed in serious condition. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 911 or 919, the Central Detective Unit at 5002-9991 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 328-TIPS.

Police are also requesting the public’s help in solving an armed robbery that happened on Wednesday afternoon.

According to reports, shortly after 2pm, a public service driver was in his bus on Soldier Road when three men armed with a knife robbed him of an undetermined amount of money before fleeing on foot.
