THE Eleuthera Junior Baseball League of Rock Sound resumed play after a week’s layoff with week 9 games in Rock Sound. In game one in the tee ball division, the Tarpum Bay Nippers rolled over the Rock Sound Sea Grapes 20-4. The Nippers continued with their dominating ways in the tee ball division.

In games two and four in the minor division, the Rock Sound Marlins defeated the Green Castle Dragons 16-3 in the first game of their double header, and in the second game they blew away the Tarpum Bay Tarpons 33-2 to run their record to a perfect 6-0. The winning pitcher was Jonathon Hall, who had a home run, a triple and six RBI. The losing pitcher was Renaldo Hunt.

In game three in the junior division, the Rock Sound Stingrays ran their record to 4-1 by outlasting the Tarpum Bay Teen Agers 9-7 in a very competitive game. The winning pitcher was Jonathon Brown and the losing pitcher was Lance Pelecanos.

Play continues with two games Saturday in week 10. Rock Sound Marlins are slated to play Spanish Wells Sluggers (six-inning game) and the Spanish Wells Sting Rays are set to face the Rock Sound Stingrays.
