THE Little Pink Party is gearing up for it’s ultimate girls day out event – “In Full Bloom”.

The event, which is in its sixth year, will be held at the Green Parrot Bar and Grill on May 10, beginning at 3pm.

The TLPP team will present a collection of more than 60 small businesses and locally-represented brands with the best in products and services.

Over the years, TLPP has become known as an event that fuses shopping with upbeat, non-stop entertainment and attraction.

This year’s instalment will feature a number of style suites highlighting fashion, technology, beauty and cosmetics, as well as health and fitness, food, beverages, and other consumer interests.

Attendees will given special limited-edition products, offers, samples and an exciting stage show.

The event also features a limited edition Little Pink Party swag bag, conversations with entertainer Bodine, hourly fashion shows, performances, free health screenings and interactive fitness demonstrations. There will also be a kids’ club hosted by Vitamalt.

“We have over 50 exhibitors and they are predominantly female-oriented brands and a few unisex brands. With so many brands, that means there are lots of promotional giveaways, freebies and other giveaways,” said Kandice Hanna, event founder and producer.

“The TLPP is always a place where the brands and business exhibiting will have great deals and sales. We are excited to have Heineken Light as the main stage presenter, they are also the presenter of Pink At Nite - the Party After the Party, as the Little Pink Party closes at 8pm the deejay turns it up in the Harbour Front Lounge drink with specials, giveaways, and it is definitely a fashionable party.”

In support of pro-social causes for all Bahamians, the Little Pink Party extends invitations to various local charities to display at the event and raise awareness for their causes.

For the “Salute The Summer” event, the Bahamas Crisis Centre, the AIDS Foundation, Special Olympics, the Ranfurly Home, Ardastra Gardens and Hands for Hunger will all appear alongside the Cancer Society.

“Not only do we support breast cancer (initiatives), but we also raise funds and awareness of breast cancer. We also support brands like Special Olympics, AIDS Foundation and the Crisis Centre. We are doing our part the allow other organisations to raise awareness. So we definitely give back and at the same time we provide a relaxed atmosphere for these organisations to build relationships with people in the community,” she said.

Last year’s event at Atlantis was a successful one for the TLPP team. However, the decision to move the event to Green Parrot this year was made with the guests in mind, Kandice told Tribune Arts and Entertainment.

“We decided to move the event because it is cost effective. Green Parrot was the venue that made the event popular in its second year. After the second event we outgrew Green Parrot. But now that Green Parrot has expanded, there is more space and it provides an awesome scenery,” she said.

The Little Pink Party started out as a small pre-celebration for the first “Sex And The City” movie launch back in 2008. It has since blossomed into one of the most highly anticipated shopping parties, attracting thousands of patrons yearly.
