Religious show celebrates TV premiere

JOY FM’s TV show, “Rock It”, which aims to give audiences an in-depth look into the lives of some of the Bahamas’ most influential Christian personalities, is set to begin airing on Cable 12 this Sunday at 6.30pm.

Since its initial launch on Youtube on March 31, “Rock It” has received many positive reviews and tremendous support.

“We are thankful to the many viewers on Youtube for their support and kind words of encouragement on the show,” said executive producer Clover Bonamy. “As a result of the outpouring of interest we saw it only fitting to expedite our progression to Cable 12.”

Ms Bonamy said the show’s mandate to inspire, uplift and motivate persons in their daily life is the primary reason for its existence.

“The vision for ‘Rock It’ was born out of a desire to celebrate the lives of respected persons in the Bahamas and abroad, who are making indelible imprints in their ministry for the Kingdom of God,” she said

“Rock It” will feature Christian movers and shakers in the Bahamas and beyond “who are rocking it for Jesus”. The show will tell the story behind the gospel artist; the humble beginnings of the church and choir; the journey of the priest/pastor, and the struggle and subsequent victory of the Christian.

Viewers will get close look into the lives of such individuals and will hear their stories.

“Each interview will seek to engage our guest in conversation relating to their ministry from inception to present. And from each episode, viewers will have a new found appreciation for the gospel artist, the journey of the priest/pastor, and the story of the over-comer,” Ms Bonamy said.

Motivational speaker, magazine editor, graphic artist, an on-air radio personality at 101.9 FM JOY, Antonia ‘Toni’ Lightbourne is the show’s host.

Joy FM TV is in association with 101.9 FM Joy, the first privately-owned gospel radio station in the Bahamas.
