Muzzle the FNM chairman

EDITOR, The Tribune.

Will someone please muzzle Darron Cash?

He is politicising the debate on the proposed constitutional changes for gender equality.

The prime minister and the leader and deputy leader of the Opposition have spoken in favour of it.

It is now time for Members from both sides of the House to come together to iron out any anomalies that may exist in the Bills so as to produce legislation that will stand the test of time.

Each side must apply the Whip when the vote is taken and the Speaker should take the Roll Call so we can see which, if any, Members break rank and vote against their mothers, sisters, wives and daughters.

The Press must publish the names of any Member who cowardly absents himself.

We do not need Mr Cash to muddy the waters by asking for the PLP to apologise for something that happened 12 years ago, especially as there was error on both sides.

This “tit for tat” politics has to stop. It’s time to move on and stop using women as political punching bags.

One Leslie Miller is enough.
