IT WAS a life and death experience that led the young Bahamian Prophetess Felicia “The Firestarter” Archer to fully surrender her life to the Lord.

She turned everything that was negative in her into something positive, and became inspired to start the Fresh Fire Outreach Ministries International.

She envisioned it as a ministry that would cater to the younger Bahamians by way of revivals, services and community involved events.

Next Wednesday through Friday, Felicia said she is excited to present her upcoming revival at the Commonwealth Baptist Church located in Elizabeth Estates. It is being held under the theme “Woman at the Well 2014”.

“God wants to heal you everywhere you hurt,” she said of the theme that is deduced from John 4:1-26. The revival proceedings begin at 7pm nightly.
Felicia’s very first revival was held in August of 2011. She said the revivals have definitely grown very quickly over the years in terms of attendance. At each event, she said, lives were saved and changed.

Sharing her story with Tribune Religion, Felicia said after she discovered her God-given purpose and fulfilled it, the Lord opened up a door for her while she was still in high school.

She said she was given the opportunity to work at a local gospel radio station to preach the word of the Lord on the national airwaves.

“This lasted for two years, and many lives where touched and saved. New connections were made and as a result the Lord opened up many doors locally and in the Family Islands for me. At 17 years old, Fresh Fire Outreach Ministries was birthed on my bed of affliction to cater to the young people in today’s society spiritually, intellectually and socially,” she said.

Felicia said Fresh Fire’s youth revivals have been successful for the past three years and they have impacted thousands of Bahamians.

“Two arms of this ministry are the An Act of Love Foundation that caters to the less fortunate in the community by providing them with clothing and food, and the Daughters of Purpose Network that is the newest programme that seeks to teach young ladies how to discover their God-given purpose, empower them to fulfil it and help to mould them into becoming well-rounded 21st century kingdom citizens,” she said.

Felicia said the Lord has given her the opportunity to speak on behalf of her generation. She is also the author of the book “She Found Herself”, a mentor, and currently the youngest radio personality in the Bahamas on a local gospel station, Glory 93.9FM.

“I believe that the Lord has called me for such a time as this to serve as a trailblazer for my generation and a voice of hope to the nation to tell them that all hope is not lost with our young people,” said Felicia.

She is expecting and anticipating the power of God to move in an uncommon way at the upcoming revival which will feature a great worship experience, a word from the Lord and the gift of prophecy.

Speakers include Prophetess Tamara Simmons-Broken from Worship Ministries International; Pastor Cleopatra Williams of Life Changers Ministries International and Felicia herself.
“The presence of the Lord will be evident because wherever the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty, and so therefore people cannot remain the same whenever they come in contact with the presence of the Lord,” she said.

Felicia believes if there ever was a time Bahamians needed to see healing in the country, it is now, because the number of hurting people is increasing daily.

“I recognised that hurt don’t have a look, smell or personality anymore. The ones that are hurting are those that seem to have it together, those that are smiling but have a broken soul, and so the Lord wants his people to meet him at the well in this season because at the well is where you will receive your deliverance and your healing. As a result, your life will never be the same because you will not thirst again. This event is not just geared towards ‘woman’ but it is for everyone, including the males that are thirsty to be filled with living waters,” she said.

She believes those who attend will walk away changed, empowered and healed, sharing the love of God.
